Methanol-FUEL CELL

The direct methanol fuel cell efficiently converts the liquid fuel directly into electrical energy and can sustain the flow of power on a continuous basis. Compared to other fuel cell systems, which are operated with pure hydrogen or hydrogen-rich gases from reforming processes, the fuel is fed directly via liquid methanol. HYREF's direct methanol fuel cell has a compact design and can be flexibly installed and scaled depending on the application.

We are working to build a sustainable renewable energy system that is fully self-sufficient and capable of both storing energy (wind/solar to hydrogen) and converting it back when needed (hydrogen to electricity).

HYREF has completed the first step towards building an RSOEC fuel cell with the successful construction and testing of a 3 kW SOFC hydrogen fuel cell demonstrator.
